A sentimental, yet demanding journey through thirteen songs of Franz Liszt, from the sweetness of Du bist wie eine Blume to the overpowering Die Macht der Musik. Markella and Steven have championed the songs of Liszt internationally from the stage of the Melbourne International Festival to London's Wigmore Hall, and Bilbao Spain to Athens, Greece. The songs in this collection, sung in German and French, display Liszt's unique abilities of combining piano virtuosity, and simplicity, with the extremes of vocal production and technique.
